Digipost hack day 2017 took place 02/07/2017 and was organized in cooperation between Posten and StartupLab.

The day started at 8.30, and ended with presentations at 16.00. During one day we were to build a concept that could fit into Postens digital solutions, with a prototype / visualizations, and a description of revenue.

I entered a team of four, and together we came up with a concept based on providing access to your recorded data, and acquire a new data in digipost. In collaboration with one of the other team members I worked on the visualizations of the website in Illustrator.

By the end of the day we had 2 minutes to present the concept, opportunities for earnings and a user scenario in front of the other teams.

Concept and user journey

The concept involves having a digital data hub in digipost where you can gather, request and grant others access to documents and information about you.

User Journey

  • Siri is a trained nurse and is in the process of getting her first job at the hospital. In this context they will need a variety of documents from her, as work certificates, diplomas and a police certificate.

Siri will be notified by e-mail that Rikshospitalet want access to certain documents from her Digipost. She logs in with MinID and get a popup with the request. If she has all the documents ready in Digipost, she can choose to approve or she can postpone it until later.

If she is missing some of the documents, she gets an option to go to her documents to upload it, or to acquire the correct document through Digipost.

She goes into the folder My Documents and can see that it’s marked in red that a police certificate are requested and not been found. She clicks on the icon showing the police and can either upload a police certificate if she already has it or send a request to the police through Digipost and have it delivered digitally. When it's all taken care of, she can give Rikshospitalet access to all the documents they need to offer her a position.
